Kibogaoka Hill (キボウヶ丘 Kibogaoka?, lit. Hope Hill) is a location in Jet Set Radio Future.

Overview[]

Taking inspiration from the Kibogaoka section from Kogane-cho, this area has the same feel as Rokkaku-dai Heights but is in a favela style of house placing. Similar to places like Dogenzaka Hill and Highway Zero, it is structured somewhat like loop with the starting point and ending point being the same location. It is one of the hardest areas to do Street Challenges in, as its lumpy rough ground makes it hard to move around without the use of telephone wires. There are also multiple locations that can lead to the player falling into water and thus losing health. Kibogaoka Hill can only be accessed via the Tokyo Underground Sewage Facility.

Story[]

During the story, the GG's come to Kibogaoka Hill to spray over the Immortals' graffiti in chapter 4. The Rokkaku Police will also show up using helicopters as a way to stop the GG's. Clutch may also appear here when the player must re-obtain the Graffiti Souls he took from them in chapter 7, if found on time he will reveal Yoyo's actual location of captivity. Also in the chapter the Golden Rhinos will make an appearance to stop the GG's with automatic weapons.

Mystery Tape[]

The Mystery Tape can be found in the area with two large sets of power lines, pick the left side and choose the bottom-most line to a platform. The tape will be right in front of the player.

Street Challenges[]

  • Grind Combo x 20
  • Air Combo x 4
  • 50 Tricks
  • 250,000 points

Trivia[]

  • Kibogaoka means "Hope Hill", so the literal translation of the name is "Hope Hill Hill".
  • There are lots of stray animals in this area and there is even a large concrete room just full of cats and a beaten-up sofa, which has springs and stuffing pop out when touched.
  • Oddly enough, a launchpad for firing multi-stage rockets into space can be seen not far at all from a nearby town square, a gross and universal violation of both noise, zoning and safety laws. The player also passes through a large chamber housing multiple silos containing small rockets that bear a variant of the Rokkaku Group logo. Considering that these rockets are much too small to launch satellites into orbit, they may be a very disturbing sign that the Rokkaku Group possesses intercontinental ballistic missiles and the means to fire them.
